Nonprofit Boards can be magnificent, well-tuned visionary decision makers or tragic, struggling portraits of a dysfunctional family. Most often, they are somewhere in between. People sign on to contribute to the accomplishment of social good, to gain experience, to advocate for their values, and to pay it forward. Huzzah! These are worthy goals.
The draft picks will be flying on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Edgewood College when more than 50 local business leaders seek to fill nearly 40 nonprofit board seats in one day. Nonprofit Draft Day is a free, one-day event that connects nonprofit agencies with prospective board member talent. Nonprofit agencies in the Madison-area will get the chance to recruit new board members the same way sports teams select star athletes on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Edgewood College Predolin Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to register in advance at https://www.nonprofitdraftday.org/.
This is a myth.
