Where and when is the event?

The event will be held at Edgewood College, Predolin Hall (1000 Edgewood College Dr), in Madison. Check-in for participants starts at 9am and the event runs until noon on Saturday, January 20th.

  • 9:00 am Networking and Nonprofit Board Fair
  • 10:30 am
  • For Free Agents: Being a (More) Effective Board Member with Melanie Schmidt - Anderson Auditorium, Predolin Hall
  • For Nonprofit Executive Directors: Submit your Draft Selection.
  • 11:00 am Draft begins, announcements are made in Anderson Auditorium, Predolin Hall

Is the event open to the public?

Absolutely! And it's free. NPDD is a spectator sport so Free Agents and Nonprofits are encouraged to bring their cheering section. But anyone came come just to watch and enjoy.  

Does a Nonprofit have to select someone from the draft?

No, nonprofits are not obliged to draft any free agents on the day of the draft. 

My nonprofit has several open board seats. How many people can we draft?

This year there will be only one round in the Draft. However, nonprofits can contact Free Agents who were not drafted after the event. 

Can my nonprofit include food/treats in our exhibit table?

A bowl of candy would be a nice addition to your exhibit table. However, Edgewood College has an exclusive arrangement with their catering supplier so we ask that you not bring food to the venue. Coffee, tea and water will be provided to those in attendence. 

I would like to edit/change my profile. How do I do that?

I'm a free agent. Should I bring my resume/CV with me?

You don't have to bring your resume/CV but it may be helpful. You should absolutely bring a pocket full of business cards though!

I registered as a Free Agent but I can't attend on the day. Can I still be drafted?

Free Agents must be present on the day to participate in the Draft. However, there is still potential for you to join a board after the event. 

Should my nonprofit bring swag/bling/branded gear for the draft announcement?

Oh heck yeah!! Bring that swag. Give it to your new board member. Throw it to the crowd. Go nuts with it.
